I created the sumptuous Sattvic Soul typography early in the process and seeing her book’s name in all its glory confirmed to Virginia that her dream would become a reality.
We worked with Ashma Dahal, one of the illustrators in Nepal from Kumari’s Adventure with her Moon Cycle, to create the line drawings for the 130+ page book.
I then coloured and curated the drawings, photographs and words into engaging pages, with a strong colour palette of warm yellows and oranges, reminiscent of the South Asian heritage of this wisdom.
Within this wonderful book project to date, we have explored:
• typography / logo design
• illustration
• editorial layouts
• social media design
• interactive card designs (incoming…)
“Back in December 2020 I had a vision with no idea how I was going to birth this into the world and little idea of what form it could take. Upon speaking with Sophie I found an ally and visionary in my work that changed everything and enabled Sattvic Soul to come to life. From the communication with Sophie, to the creative process and general discussion, plus liaison with the editor and publishers she has been incredible. Efficient, intuitive and with a deep understanding of my message, the book that has evolved from this process is way beyond what I could have dreamed of. Thank you isn't really enough, how can you even begin to thank someone that has helped to bring your imagination, dreams and inner creativity to life on the page.”
